WEDNESDAY BIBLE CLASS, SINGING THE FAITH – beginning April 30, and running for four consecutive Wednesdays: “Singing the Faith: Living the Lutheran Musical Heritage” – a DVD series followed by discussion – will be offered.  This series is put out by the Good Shepherd Institute of Fort Wayne.  Come and learn more about the truly priceless heritage we have as Lutheran Christians as we sing the Lord’s song!  Wednesday’s 7:00 p.m.
SUNDAY: HEBREWS – Beginning May 11, Pastor will lead the Adult Bible Class through the wonderful letter to the Hebrews.  This verse by verse study of the book will open up for us the richness of the Church’s experience in worship, witness, and service.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY – A group of ladies is going to meet for Bible study on Friday mornings in the church basement.  This is a new group and all ladies of the congregation and their friends are invited to attend.  We will begin meeting at 9:30 on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month.  (This could change if the group decides on a more convenient time.)  Baby sitting can be arranged also.  We will have our first meeting on Friday, May 9.  If you have questions or are interested but cannot attend the first meeting, call Julie Johnson at 656-1259 or e-mail at jajohnson100@gmail.com.
WELCOME HOME – On May 18, between the Sunday services, St. Paul’s will host a “welcome home!” to Pastor GeRue, thanking him for his service to our country and, above all, to our Lord in bringing the saving Gospel to his fellow soldiers.  Because of this, there will be no Adult Bible Class scheduled that morning.  Be sure to join us!
SPRING CONCERT – The Metro-East Lutheran High School Music Department will be presenting its annual Spring Concert on Thursday, May 15 in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church sanctuary (1300 Beltline Rd., Collinsville).  The concert will begin at 7:00 pm and will feature the LHS Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, and the newly formed Jazz Ensemble.  Music selections will include many pieces performed on their recent music ministry tour to Florida as well as several new selections.  Come and support YOUR Lutheran High School and enjoy a wonderful evening of music!  For more information, please call the school office at
